Employee Spotlight: Thomas White
Thomas joined the GDM team as a Programmer Analyst in 2022.
1. How long have you been with GDM and what is your role?
I have been with GDM for three years. My role is a Programmer Analyst, and my primary focus is on the Trial Map.
2. What's your favorite part of your job or the work you get to do each day?
I enjoy the problem solving nature of the work, and since I have always been a very visual learner, I enjoy the data visualization component of the Trial Map.
3. What interests or activities do you enjoy outside of work?
My favorite thing to do outside of work is play the cello. I play in the community orchestra and give lessons to a few students on the weekends. I live in the Black Hills, and I like to get out hiking in our beautiful parks and national forests when I can. In the winter, when the weather is less conducive to hiking, I enjoy reading and video games.

Chris joined the GDM team as a Programmer Analyst in 2009.
1. How long have you been with GDM and what is your role?
I have been with GDM since the summer of 2009. I am a Programmer Analyst that works on ARM and the ARM Configurations.
2. What's your favorite part of your job or the work you get to do each day?
I enjoy learning about new and evolving research workflows in agriculture and adapting ARM to meet those needs.
3. What interests or activities do you enjoy outside of work?
Outside of work, I enjoy traveling with my family, attending sporting events, and camping. In my spare time, I also like biking, detailing vehicles, and playing video games.
